CG Publishing Inc Manuscript Submission Guidelines

We are pleased that you are interested in publishing your manuscript with CG Publishing Inc. We are interested in well researched, well-written manuscripts.

CG Publishing has two adult publishing divisions, which publish a variety of non-fiction titles. CG Publishing concentrates on entertainment such as movies, collectibles and music while Apogee Books publishes only aeronautics and astronautics related titles, including historical, technical, biographical, general and speculative. Strict historical accuracy is essential: at this time we do not publish fiction.

All manuscripts go through a formal review process. If you are interested in submitting a book proposal to CG Publishing or Apogee Books for possible publication we ask that you read and apply the following guidelines:

Submissions should be at least 80 pages but less than 400 manuscript pages. Submissions must be presented as hard copy; submissions by email or digital means, or those on disk will not be considered. In the first instance, please send a covering letter, synopsis and author resumé. Submissions should be single-sided on A4 paper. Text should be 12-point type and double spaced. If you expect your manuscript will need illustrations or photographs we will need a list of images and repositories as well as, if possible, photocopies of possible images, along with the text.

Return of manuscripts: If you wish to have your manuscript returned you must include a stamped, self-addressed envelope or Postpak for the return of your manuscript. Please ensure there is enough postage to cover the return of your manuscript. We are unable to return manuscripts without postage. Although all possible care is taken with submissions, CG Publishing/Apogee Books bears no responsibility for the loss or damage of unsolicited materials received. Please ensure that you retain a copy of your manuscript and all other materials that you are sending.

In your covering letter you will need to describe the market for your book and:
1. List similar books that are already in print.
2. Explain how your proposal differs from these.
3. List any additional markets that your book could sell to, besides bookshops.
4. Explain how you would promote your book and whether or not you have media or corporate contacts that would help us to publicize and market your book.

Turnaround: Due to the volume of submissions we receive, it takes approximately 3 to 5 months for unsolicited submissions to be assessed. Writers will be advised in writing when their submission has been assessed. Assessment is made in order of receipt. Address submissions to:
