Alpha City 2050-the series, is considered a high adventure, low vocabulary collection of serial novels that will “grow with the reader”. It is unique as a youth novel combining exciting adventure, conflict, resolution, problem-solving, complex character development and “life lessons”.
Alpha City 2050 followed by Alpha City 2050: Rage of the Clones and Alpha City 2050: Relativity, in spring and fall 2006 and fall 2007, was aimed initially at the male demographic, but as we soon learned, the girls loved the stories also. This new and exciting series features among the characters strong male and female heroes and heroines. There is a focus on parental figures and the aged. Space sciences, history and geography are accurate with story detail based on science fact with a science-fiction twist.
This series has been written for the middle school student. Children and Teens from grades five, six, seven, eight, nine and ten in general literature or demonstrating below average reading skills will be able to read this novel. They will discover that it deals with contemporary issues that impact youth on a daily basis.
Alpha City 2050-the series, is written in short (five pages or less) “scenes” rather than extended chapters to capture the short attention span of this youth target market.
